Laying the Foundation of our
History
The OCS Association was formed in 1958 and received its provincial charter in 1965. The school officially opened in 1966 with 50 students.
First School Building
After renting in several locations, we constructed our first building in 1969 at 2191 Benjamin Avenue.
New School
In 2010, the school moved into its new location at 255 Tartan Drive. We were thrilled to move into a new facility that could accommodate our growing student population and better support our numerous specialty programs and future growth.
50 Year Jubilee
In the Spring of 2016, the founding families, past and present board members, alumni and the present school community celebrated God’s faithfulness at a variety of fun and memorable events.
60 Years of Learning
2026 is the 60th anniversary of Ottawa Christian School. The school is full and primed for addressing future growth opportunities. In the fall of 2024 we added two modular classrooms to increase our capacity to continue our mission of discipling students across Ottawa.
