Who we are
Ottawa Christian School is an interdenominational Christian school that seeks to provide students with a Christ-centered elementary education. We aim to educate children in a vibrant and creative environment, equipping them for a life of faithful Christian discipleship and service. Ottawa Christian School is affiliated with Edvance Christian Schools.
Our Mission and Vision
Our mission is to educate our children in a Christ-centered elementary school where students integrate faith and learning through Biblical content, Christian perspective and example.
Our vision is to produce students that are active disciples engaged in their community and serving the Lord with their lives.
Teaching for Transformation
OCS has adopted the Teaching for Transformation (TFT) framework to enrich how we teach from a Christian worldview. TFT is an integrated and authentic discipleship that is happening in our classrooms across the school. This pedagogical framework is anchored in Scripture and a Biblical understanding of training our children to know who they are in Christ. When a student graduates from OCS, they are not only taught math, science, language arts and more – they are taught how to be a servant on mission in their world. From learning about stewarding the Earth that God has made to deeply worshiping the Lord of all Creation – the lessons progress in depth from year to year and equip our students to stand firm in their faith and identity when they leave this space.

Edvance
We value being in community with other independent Christian schools across Ontario. As a partner school of the Edvance Christian Schools Association, we work closely with other like-minded schools and gain valuable support for our educators and leaders to grow in excellence.
