OCS Walkathon 2011

Photos and results from the 2011 Walkathon.

  1. walkathon-poster-01Details for the Walkathon:   Saturday, September 24th 8:30am- 12:30pm; route is same as last year —leaving from Tartan drive for one loop (5km), arrive at the school, get stamped and then reverse loop (5km). See below for map.
  2. Goal $60,000
  3. Purpose: Reducing our school debt / mortgage.
  4. 41st anniversary celebration BBQ and picnic will be held at the school.    Care Stevens from CHRI will be playing music from 10 -12pm.
  5. Walkathon Sponsor Sheet : You can print this off and get started on getting your sponsors for the walkathon.
  6. Volunteers Needed: 10 -12 Route monitors needed and station volunteers .
  7. Sponsors: We would like to thank our sponsors immensely for covering the cost of the entire fundraising event allowing us to use the entire amount collected towards meeting our goal!
  8. Prizes:
  • This year, in order to encourage the entire school to work together to meet the goal, there will be a GRAND PRIZE for the entire school if the target is reached.  Part of this grand prize will be our principal Paul Triemstra doing something really special or extraordinary, but ONLY if the target is reached!  Specific details will be announced shortly so stay tuned … but start raising those funds…it’ll be worth it!
  • Remember, too, that for each class, the student with the highest total $ amount and the student with the highest number of sponsors will also be awarded prizes.  Late sponsor sheets will not be included in this contest.
  • Students who raise $100 will receive an OCS Walkathon t-shirt.  Students who raise $275 will receive an OCS Walkathon t-shirt as well as an OCS reusable water bottle.  Please wear your t-shirt and bring your water bottle (don’t forget to put your name on it) to use during the Walkathon!! Students who raise $700 will receive a cool OCS hoodie, along with a t-shirt and water bottle!!  Late sponsor sheets will not be included. MAKE SURE YOU RETURN YOUR COMPLETED SPONSOR SHEETS AND MONEY COLLECTED BY SEPTEMBER 21st, 2011
