Facilities

Classrooms: Ottawa Christian School currently has 11 spacious classrooms. These include a resource room for students requiring additional assistance, small group programs and one-on-one programs with a fully qualified resource teacher.  The second level boasts a welcoming and fun Kindergarten class with a reading loft, numerous centers and private bathroom.

Infrastructure: Ottawa Christian School has easily accessible washroom facilities on both levels and the Kindergarten room has its own facilities for the younger children. The gymnasium sees many children daily playing a variety of sports such as volleyball, basketball, gymnastics, floor hockey, soccer and so much more. Every Thursday morning the gymnasium hosts our chapel service led by the grade 8 class.

Library /Computer Lab: The spacious computer lab allows for 28 students to work consecutively and the library is a bright area for children to select the books they would like to borrow.

Playground: There are 2 separate recess times, one for grades SK to grade 4 and a second period for grades 5 to 8. This allows for plenty of space for the children to enjoy such activities as soccer, soccer-baseball, the playground structure, hockey, skating on our private skating rink, and other physical activities.

Ottawa Christian School is in the process of a building campaign and look forward to relocating to our new facility in Barrhaven in September 2010. See the New Facility page for more details on the new facility.
